Appetite-related concerns
Loss of appetite, early fullness or eating far more than usual — often connected to digestion, sleep, routine and mental state together.
What sits behind it
Appetite responds to sleep, stress, activity, meal rhythm and the state of digestion. Irregular hours and low activity blunt it; anxiety can either suppress or drive it. It is rarely about willpower.
Rebuilding a rhythm
Fixed meal times even when appetite is low, smaller and more frequent portions, daily movement, and protected sleep. Unexplained weight loss, or a marked change in appetite that persists, should be checked by a doctor.
Please note
This page is general wellness education, not a diagnosis. Persistent, severe or new symptoms — and warning signs such as blood in the stool, unexplained weight loss, fever, repeated vomiting or anaemia — need a qualified healthcare professional. Our guidance works alongside your doctor's care, never in place of it.
Each condition page clearly states that diagnosis and medical treatment require the advice of a qualified healthcare professional.
